CMU Silicon Valley Graduation

Carnegie Mellon Ranks 6th Most Expensive US University
My university, Carnegie Mellon, is the 6th most expensive US college for undergraduates. According to the article, 2008-2009 tuition and fees run $39,564 -- and that doesn't include room and board. According to Forbes:
...the school estimates its cost of attendance to be $52,150

Well, you can judge for yourself:
Strategies for Instigating Technological Change
Earlier today I attended a talk at CMU by Ryan Troll, Director of Engineering at Yahoo! He spoke on the topic of change management and how to instigate large changes at Yahoo. Obviously as Director of Engineering, he has a fair bit of authority at Yahoo in this area, but he still runs into surprising resistance. He posed a question: how would you get every group in Yahoo to agree on a middleware templating language?
How Schools use Social Media
I attend Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley, an extension of the main CMU campus located in a restored naval building on Moffett Field. Our campus currently hosts about 100 students and only a dozen or so professors, and this small size allows us to adopt new social media applications faster than a larger campus with a more complex organization.
